Youth basketball program helps put fun in fundamentals

The Coupeville High School gymnasium is filled with the sweat and intense competition of prep basketball on Friday nights. On Saturday mornings, that effort and emotion change to the fun-loving play and the smiles of youth basketball.

For the Coupeville High School boys basketball team, its 59-36 district tournament loss at Cascade Christian in Puyallup Saturday, Feb. 14, was the end of the season. The game, however, marked a beginning as well.

Wolves drop district game | Girls basketball

Bellevue Christian used a physical defense to slow the Coupeville High School girls basketball team and hand the Wolves a 50-33 loss in the district tournament at Sumner High School Monday, Feb. 16.
