Central Whidbey finishes run at district | 11/12 baseball

Central Whidbey's 11/12 Little League baseball team was eliminated from the District 11 tournament in Langley by a 7-3 loss to North Whidbey Wednesday, July 2.

Central Whidbey jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on consecutive singles by Mason Testeroff, Elliott Johnson and Matt Hilborn.

North Whidbey took advantage of Central Whidbey errors in its half of the first to take the lead, one it would never relinquish.

Central Whidbey, which posted an 11-3 record during the regular season, scored its final two runs in the fifth when Johnson and Hilborn singled and scored on Noah Meffert's base hit.

The game was the final appearance at the 11/12 Little League level for Hilborn, Johnson, and David Prescott.
