Fields scores 23 in back-to-back matches | Girls golf

Coupeville High School's lone golfer, Christine Fields, finished with 23 Stableford points in her last two matches.

Fields, who practices with South Whidbey and competes in the same meets as the Falcons, played against Sultan Thursday, April 17, and Lakewood at Cedarcrest Golf Course Tuesday, April 22.

In the Lakewood match, she finished with the third-best score.

Fields' father, Mike, said Christine is "practicing well" but "struggling with putting and short game" which is "robbing her of 4 to 8 points" per match.

Fields and South Whidbey face Archbishop Murphy at 3 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Useless Bay.
