2 Coupeville runners compete at Lake Washington | Track

Coupeville High School track stars Madison Tisa-McPhee and Makana Stone took part in the prestigious 37th annual Lake Washington Invitational track meet Saturday, April 27.

The meet, which attracted athletes from 77 schools, featured most of the state's top runners regardless of classification.

Senior Tisa-McPhee placed 12th in the 100 hurdles in 16.14 and 13th in the 300 hurdles in 48.24.

Her times are fourth best in the state in both the events for 1A schools this spring.

Freshman Stone placed 20th in the 100 (13.11), 24th in the 200 (27.53) and 25th in the 400 (1:02.11).
