The Coupeville High School tennis team would have a perfect record so far this season if it wasn't for South Whidbey.

The Wolves have three losses this fall, and all have been to the Falcons, the latest 3-2 in Langley Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the final contest of their four-match series.

Coupeville collected wins in both singles matches but was unable to break through in doubles.

Nathan Lamb took first singles 6-2, 6-3; while Aaron Curtin came back to eke out a win in second singles 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(7-5).

The swing match was second doubles where Ben Etzell and Sebastian Davis were edged 6-7(3-7), 4-6.

In first doubles, Jason Knoll and Brandon Kelley lost 0-6, 2-6; and in third doubles Shane Squire and Dawson d'Almeida fell 1-6, 2-6.
