Thanks for supporting salmon barbecue

September 26, 2012 · Updated 9:51 AM

To our friends and neighbors in the Coupeville community and visitors (especially from the Walking Festival) thank you for supporting our work in the community by coming to our salmon barbecue. All the money that was raised goes right back into the community through our programs, projects, and grants.

We served over 200 dinners featuring locally sourced fresh caught King salmon and corn on the cob, accompanied with side dishes and a decadent chocolate fudge bar made by Coupeville’s Serendipity Catering. Again we were sold out before the event and next year we plan to sell more tickets. The day was topped off with a town sponsored concert in the park with Dillinger’s Clambake. We also want to thank Barry Rix and Concerts on the Cover for arranging for the concert and playing great music through the dinner.

We are planning to do the barbecue again in the fall of 2013 and we hope the community will support us by buying tickets. Watch for our posters with details next July.
