Margoth Stoeffler

Margoth Stoeffler, age 73, known to family and friends as “Lolly,” passed on Oct. 11, 2015, in Burlington, after a short illness.

Lolly was born on Jan. 30, 1942, in Redondo Beach, Calif., to parents Carl Wolfgand Larsen and Margoth Victoria Larsen. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Lolly was an airplane mechanic at the Naval Air Station at Alameda in California. While working there she met her best friend, Terry Stoeffler, who was also an airplane mechanic. Lolly and Terry were married in 1969.

Lolly proudly worked at Whidbey General Hospital as a housekeeper, which she enjoyed. Lolly’s first job as a teenager was as a car hop at Hy’s Restaurant in Oakland, Calif. Lolly graduated from Alameda High School in 1959.

Lolly and Terry moved to Whidbey Island in 1997 from California. Lolly loved and greatly enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lolly enjoyed feeding the deer and was an avid reader. She loved to stay connected with her family and friends through Facebook. She enjoyed boating and fishing in the San Francisco Bay.

Lolly is survived by her loving husband Terry Stoeffler; her children, Veronica Lowe and Troy Stoeffler; her brothers and sisters Margo Medhurst, Carl Larsen, Sven Larsen and Sharon Nothause; and a huge extended family who all loved her very much.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and her loving son, Peter Montana Covell. As requested, there will be no service. Instead of flowers, please donate to the food bank in Coupeville.
