Conservation district hosts farming class May 6 and 13

Join the Whidbey Island Conservation District for a two-part workshop to learn more about managing your farm to reach your goals.

In this workshop, you will learn how to improve your pastures, create mud-free, high-traffic areas, improve your farm through manure management, reduce your workload by making chores more efficient, and create a farm plan for your use.

The conservation district will also provide an overview of possible cost-share funding and how farms can qualify for Island County’s Current Use Tax Program. Informational materials will be provided.

The workshop will take place 5:30-7:30 p.m., two consecutive Tuesdays, May 6 and 13, 2014 at the Coupeville Library, 788 NW Alexander Street, Coupeville. Light refreshments will be provided. To RSVP, please go to
