OLF flight operations scheduled Sept. 2-4
Field Carrier Landing Practice operations for aircraft stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station are scheduled at the Outlying Field Coupeville, Wash., from Sept. 2-4, 2014.
Tuesday, Sept. 2, FCLP training at OLF Coupeville is scheduled in the late afternoon until early evening. On Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 3 and 4, FCLP training is scheduled to begin at OLF Coupeville in the late afternoon until early evening.
Flight operations are subject to change due to weather, operational and/or training requirements.
Residents living in Coupeville and around the OLF should anticipate an increase in jet noise.
NOTE: NAS Whidbey officials have identified key summer dates flight operations will NOT occur at OLF. These dates are:
- Saturday, June 14 through Monday, June 16
- Friday, July 4 through Sunday, July 6 for the extended Independence Day weekend
- Friday, Aug. 8 through Sunday, Aug. 10 for Coupeville’s Arts and Crafts Festival
