Red Cross hosts ‘Safe in the Sound’ program in Coupeville

Residents of Coupeville are invited to a demonstration and talk on Tuesday, Oct. 15 to learn more about preparing for emergencies of all kinds – storms, fires and major disruptions such as an earthquake or tsunami.

The American Red Cross Islands Chapter, Coupeville Neighborhood Emergency Team and the Town Marshal’s office will present “Safe in the Sound,” 6:30 p.m. in the Coupeville Recreation Hall.

Following short presentations, there will be time for questions and a few “how-to” demonstrations of emergency kits and practices.

Handouts will help a disaster plan for dealing with an emergency.
