Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival kicks off Aug. 9 with gallery opening, wine reception

The Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival will kick off next Friday, August 9 with an Art Gallery Opening and Wine reception 7-10 p.m. at Coupeville Rec Hall.

Artists representing every visual medium will enter as part of a competition. Winners will be announced that evening.

Guests may choose from a variety of wines provided by Bayleaf. Tickets are $12 advance or $15 at the door. Cost includes a commemorative logo wine glass.

Tickets are being sold at Lind's Pharmacy, Prairie Center Red Apple, Windjammer Art Gallery, Coupeville Liquor Store, Pacific Northwest Art School, Bayleaf, Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce, Coupeville Coffee and Bistro and Moonraker in Langley.

Art from the evening will be displayed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday during the festival.
