Interfaith vigil planned

The ninth annual Whidbey Interfaith Vigil of Peace and Hope will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at St. Augustine’s-in-the-Woods Episcopal Church, 5217 Honeymoon Bay Road, Freeland.

The vigil will feature prayer, music chants and scripture contributions from Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Native American faith traditions on Whidbey Island.

The vigil is an opportunity to share in different worship traditions.

Time for silent reflection will be given throughout the service and those attending will consider the “Federal Budget as a Moral Issue.”
