Input sought for Coupeville Community Green projectInput sought for Coupeville Community Green project

A master plan has been developed for Coupeville’s Community Green, otherwise known as the grass field behind the library where the farmers market is held.

The space is owned by the Town of Coupeville and a committee was organized to come up with ideas for how to best use the space.

The consensus of the group is to keep the area looking like a green, grass field, but improve upon it for use at special events and for overflow parking. The old Holbrook Barn has been relocated to the property and the Town must now consider potential uses for it.

Town leaders are seeking community input regarding the plan. Architect Craig Lewis, who designed the plan, town council members and staff will be at the Coupeville Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 with drawings and possible options. This is an opportunity to provide input for the use of the area.

Call Coupeville Town Hall at 360-678-4461 for information.
