Scarecrow corridor to begin

It’s time for an annual Coupeville spooky tradition: Scarecrow Corridor 2012. The theme for this year’s event is “Old Sea Captains.” Anyone can enter the contest.
Scarecrows must be placed along North or South Main, Front, Coveland or Alexander streets by Oct. 8. Winners will be announced at the Coupeville Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Entry forms are avaialable at the Coupeville library, 788 N.W. Alexander St., and the Coupeville Chamber of Commerce at 905 NW Alexander.
