Coupeville High School cheerleaders fan the flames of school spirit with an enthusiastic performance during the Wolves season opener against Port Townsend. Under the guidance of Coach Sylvia Arnold, the 15-member squad will also return to being a competition squad later this school year.



Wolf volleyballers spike Friday Harbor
Coupeville rules. Everyone else drools. That's been the recurring theme during the first week of the new fall sports season, as three straight Coupeville High School teams have opened their season with decisive wins over visiting non-conference opponents.

State champs go down swinging at Regionals
Having beaten the odds to emerge as state champs, the Central Whidbey Junior Little League All-Star baseball squad spent a whirlwind week scrambling to raise money for its trip to the West Regionals in Laguna Niguel, Calif.. Once there, however, their momentum sputtered out, as the team absorbed five losses in as many days, bringing its season to a close.
