The Island County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill or complete several positions on the Conservation Futures Citizens Advisory Board, including seats from the three unincorporated areas of Whidbey Island coincident with the school districts, representatives from the City of Langley and the Town of Coupeville. Members must be county residents for at least one year prior to appointment.
The board reviews and evaluates applications to acquire selected open space, wetlands, habitat areas, farm, agricultural and timberlands for the public use and enjoyment and as one tool for salmon preservation purposes.
