Boating safety class offered

The Deception Pass Sail and Power Squadron will conduct a general boating safety class from 6 to 8 p.m. starting Tuesday, Oct. 2.

The class will meet each Tuesday and Wednesday through Oct. 17 at Fire Station 54, 3253 Day Road, Greenbank.

In addition to teaching the fundamentals of safe boating, the class will include on-the-water training and qualify students for their Washington Boater Education Card.

The cost is $50 per person.
