See 'Carbon Nation' at the Clyde

October 3, 2012 · 11:22 AM

Tired of the doom-and-gloom about climate change? See "Carbon Nation" for an optimistic, solutions-based, non-partisan film that shows how tackling climate change boosts the economy, increases national energy security, and promotes health and a clean environment.

The 90-minute PG-rated documentary will have a special showing at the Clyde Theater in Langley at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. The event is free, although donations are appreciated.

Over 200 people were interviewed for the film including Richard Branson (CEO, Virgin Group), author and columnist Thomas Friedman, U.S. Army Col. Dan Nolan, Denis Hayes (Earth Day founder), former CIA Director James Woolsey and several everyday climate change pioneers.

The showing is sponsored by Langley United Methodist and St. Augustine's Episcopal churches, Whidbey Island Friends, and Citizens Climate Lobby.
