The first responders of South Whidbey Fire/EMS are kicking off fire prevention week by offering free breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 6 at Fire Station 34, 820 Camano Ave., Langley.

Enjoy a free breakfast of pancakes, fresh fruit and sausage, meet local volunteer firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians, see firefighting equipment and get a tour of the station.

Everyone is invited to attend.

This is also a recruitment event; those interested in volunteering with the department are especially encouraged to attend.

South Whidbey Fire/EMS hosts about six pancake breakfasts each year at different fire stations. This will be the last one for this year.

Call 360-321-7533 or go to SWFE.org for information.
