The Central Whidbey Sportsmen's Association continues its education series by holding a firearms safety class for women on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 9 a.m.

Topics covered will include skills needed to handle a loaded firearm and make it safe. Instructors are veteran law enforcement officers.

There is no cost and no pre-registration is required. Those interested may bring their own firearm or guns will be provided by club members for this training session. Organizers suggest bringing lunch or snacks along as well.

CWSA is located at 397 Safari Lane, just south of Coupeville. Call Bob Clark at 360-929-2167 for information.
