A new face is behind the counter of a Coupeville boutique.

Oak Harbor resident Cheryl Nunn took over Collections Boutique last month from previous owner Rita Hart, who still works at the popular shop on a part-time basis.

Nunn, who enjoyed a 25-year career as an interior design consultant, had been working at a gift shop in Coupeville when she found the opening at Collections.

“I found I loved Coupeville,” Nunn said.

Collections Boutique operates out of a cedar shake building located in the heart of historic downtown Coupeville across the street from Mariners Cove and next to the Coupeville Wharf entryway.

The popular women’s boutique feature clothes, jewelry, accessories such as scarves hats and gloves, and baby clothes.

She intends to keep the boutique’s current motif.

“This shop feels familiar with local customers,” Nunn said adding there may be some additions to the selection such as a couple new clothing lines comprising recycled materials and are made in the United States.

Collections Boutique operates out of a building owned by the Port of Coupeville.

The three-member board of commissioners in August approved transferring the lease of the space to Nunn.

Collections is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 360-678-2100 or meal at
